The most important area of the LimoPlanner Manager, before taking any bookings, is to the Pricing Ratio area as this controls the values which return the most accurate results for booking lengths within the "A to B" style bookings.
Within this area, you would enter the average speed for your vehicles. We have found that a value of 55mph actually provides the most accurate booking lengths for journeys in and around a city centre environment as it takes motorways into consideration and gives a very fair calculation which is reflective of physical driving time.
There is also the option to automatically round up journeys of a certain time to the next hour, such as any journey which comes to 4 hours and 32 minutes would be rounded up to 5 hours, and any journey coming to 4 hours and 5 minutes would be rounded down to 4 hours. This is entirely at your discretion and you may want to set the threshold to 1 minute to ensure that all bookings spanning another hour are charged for that full hour.
The final area within the Pricing Ratio section is for additional considerations, such as returning to base and cleaning the limo for the next hire. For example, a booking from 12 noon until 3pm doesn't mean that the limo is free from 3pm onwards... the limo will need prepared for the next booking, the driver may need to return to base, the distance from the previous booking to the next may also be a journey across town.. so it's important to make sure that these things are given consideration before taking bookings. The LimoPlanner software allows you to select 15, 30, 45 and 60 minutes to be added to the start of each limo availability during the booking process and the same choices for the end of the booking. The customer would still only be charged for their actual time within the limo, but the limo's availability would reflect the additional time required.
